Sam Montgomery was born and raised in Cape Girardeau. After attending school at Mizzou and law school at UMKC, he returned home to begin his career in law with his father, Malcolm Montgomery. This initial training has proven to be invaluable.

Sam decided to build upon that foundation through 3 years as an assistant public defender in Kansas City and Jackson, MO and three more years in private practice in Cape. His experience includes defending people in traffic cases, serious felony offenses and everything in between; each case is important.

Sam focuses primarily on criminal defense and looks to build and refine his practice in Southeast Missouri by providing honest, straightforward representation to all his clients. He considers their trust in him to be a privilege and hopes to provide counsel in the area for decades to come.
